take a moment

Sometimes it's hard to remember how much we have, especially when life seems so trying.
Today I had a humbling moment where I realized just how much I had been given.

We went to dinner at our friends, the Whites.  They showed us a video of a lovely young woman from our old ward- Brittany Remund.  Her family lives in the Albuquerque East stake, where her father is stake president.
She lived 2 houses over from our old home, and she, Logan, and I played together every day and were the best of friends until we moved when I was 8.

Brittany was in her senior year at Monzano when she became ill.
Her story helps me remember how very lucky I am and how much I have.
The video made me cry and cry.
Take a second to watch it,
and remember it could always be worse.

Can you even imagine? I don't know how you go through life not eating. Seriously. Like, what if she gets asked out on a date to dinner? Or at her wedding, when they cut the cake? Gosh, I can't imagine a trial like that. What a girl.
