label this

I have all of my baking goods in my kitchen stored in really cute little containers.

I love them, but they have one (obvious) problem.
You can't tell any of the white powders apart.

I waited and waited to decide what I wanted.
I didn't want custom labels, because then I couldn't interchange the contents without being annoyed that they are mis-labeled.
I didn't want to pay for pre-made labels because they are way overpriced.

Instead, I bought me some contact paper off of amazon.
At first my plan was to cut the labels out by hand,
but it only took one try to realize what a dumb idea that was.
I waited until we went to Spokane so that I could have my awesome sister-in-law cut them out for me using her cameo!

I picked my two favorite shapes and that little printer just cut away.
When I got home, I stuck them on my jars and fell in love.

SInce it's contact paper, the cutouts just go on like stickers.
So easy.

Ahhh, much better!

I'm saving the square labels for another project, but I couldn't help throwing this one onto my one of my laundry jars.
(It looks crooked but it's just the lighting)
The only flaw?  Chalk wipes off easily.
Solution?  I'm off to buy a chalk pen!

Eeek!!! They are so adorable! You have really cute handwriting for them too. Maybe we should trade services. :) Makes me want to buy some canisters.

Cute! I was going to suggest etching them but your labels are cuter.
