drive in

We have a love of drive-in movies.  There is one five minutes away from us, here in Rexburg.  We've went several times last year, but I didn't think we'd ever make it back after the baby came along.  Tyler had this weekend off (he normally works all day Friday, like 8 am to 10:30 pm, and Saturday mornings until noon).  We decided to do something fun, and he called and suggested the drive-in.  I wasn't really sure how it would go, but since we could always just bail and drive home, I figured it was worth the shot.  They always do double-features, and this weekend was How to Train Your Dragon 2 and The Edge of Tomorrow.
Late night party!
We let the kiddo take a quick nap around 7:30 (his normal bed time), and then he just stayed up and partied.  He was loving it.  He was so happy!  We kept thinking he would have a melt down, since he was up until almost ten, but he went to sleep quietly in his car seat before the move even started.

He slept the whole time, thankfully, and we got home at 2:00 am, and he slept late this morning.  Whew!

I could not get enough of that huge smile! I liked the movies okay. I liked "The Edge of Tomorrow," but it's a plot idea that I've seen in a couple movies before. It was exciting, I'd buy it. How to train your dragon 2 was lame, but Tyler loved it.

I loooove drive-ins! There are a bunch in Utah, too! We used to go to the Redwood drive-in all the time. It's about a half hour outside of Provo! Here's the link if you're interested: http://redwooddrivein.com/

In fact, I think I heard Provo might have one now! Cool!
