Tyler is big on 'daddy selfies.'
I super duper love these ones.
TJ is an explosive teether.
After his first two, he got four on top and two more on bottom in a period of about a week.
This month he got six more teeth (molars and canines) in two weeks.
It was weird though, they came in everywhere except his bottom left.
His bottom left has buds for a canine and a molar but they haven't cut through like the rest did.
This fabric line is called "Morning Walk."
I LOVE everything about it.
The colors remind me of my desert home, especially the pinks and yellows.
They make me think of the beautiful Albuquerque sunrises I used to watch when I was a freshman doing zero-hour marching band.
I want to by a yard of each and make an amazing quilt but 1) I'm not much for quilting yet and 2) it is pretty expensive fabric.
I am finally out of my post-baby funk.
Even after I wasn't bluesy, I was just feeling stuck!
I was holding on to 8 pounds of baby weight and we never left the house.
I started doing my hair/makeup and going for a walk EVERY day and it has made all the difference.
A little self confidence + vitamin D + exercise does miracle for the human psyche.
I started doing sewing projects again.
I needed something for me to do, and I have all kinds of adorable fabric.
Unfortunately I don't have enough yardage that matches to make a coordinated quilt,
so I'm just making a bunch of blocks that I like the look of to practice piecing.
I'll stitch them all together and call it a sampler quilt.
We ordered this incredible double stroller.
I thought about not doing the whole double-stroller thing, but Eli really prefers being in the stroller to being "baby worn" and, in this summer heat, so do I!
I super love this stroller because it fits through most doors and takes a carseat.
I spent a LONG time researching strollers and I am relieved this one is everything I wanted.
We did get stuck in a door this last Sunday though, which was really embarrassing.
I was all confident, pushing right through because I'd never had a problem yet.
Then, about halfway through the door, the stroller jammed.
I felt super stupid, because I bet people were thinking, "What is that lady doing, trying to fit that huge stroller through a door?"
And then the stroller was wedged in there and Tyler and some guy had to manipulate it out.
Awesome.
Anyway, I am so happy again. I'm relieved to be feeling so much more like myself and to have found my two-baby groove at last.

those pictures of Taylor and the boy's are adorable!
so happy you are out of your funk. i was thinking how it sucks that PPD happens because that newborn time goes SO fast, and to spend that time being sad or depressed just isn't a good mix.
Cute pics!
Glad your funk is over. I was a bit concerned. Creating new things always is a good sign.
I've been looking at double strollers like that for when baby girl comes. Of course it'll be winter for baby girl so I won't need it until spring.
You shouldn't need a whole yard of each fabric. Usually like a fat quarter, especially with that many prints. It will depend on your pattern and quilt size, of course. But nowhere near a yard, except the back, which depending on the quilt could be upwards of 4yds, but that's a big quilt. And backs can be bought much further down the road.
I just WANT a yard, even if I don't need it. ;)
