Exactly one year and one day ago, I cut my hair off! This post is basically a bunch of super embarrassing selfies documenting my short hair over the last year.
Before:
Ug. That first cut was SO awful. After another trim I finally found another stylist and things got WAY better. Here's the thing - I really wanted that awful weird bang thing cut. It was just awful. I wanted all my hair under four inches long. I never really got that, so there is a good chance I'll do another pixie cut in a few years. A shorter pixie cut.
Firs time trying to curl/wave it.
I started using product to get a little more shape and in the mornings my hair was always super weird. By about eleven it was just about right.
First cut with a different stylist. I was MUCH happier! I wish I had pictures of the back. She used a razor to shave off some of my neck line so it was crisp and perfect and the layering was so cute.
Getting the hang of curling. This picture kind of shows the stacked layers in the back.
Pretty much the entire time we were in Dallas I kept my bangs pulled back. I was so sweaty and greasy, and my hair looked awful after about 5 minutes outside anyway.
Getting close to an a-line. Plus, how cute is freshly-bathed baby?
Family picture day - literally one of the best hair days of my life. I have no idea how it happened and I cannot get my hair to look like that again.
First ponytail in almost a year!
These are my pics today. But me and my hair looks super weird so that's awesome.
I'm right at what I would call a "bob" stage.
The back is a little weird right now. I've been growing out the top layers but cutting the very bottom layer to avoid the mullet look. It's nearly long enough that I can stop doing that, though, and just let everything grow. I'm hoping to do a longer a-line, then a real bob once the front is long enough. I'm a little sad because I loved the look of stacked layers in the back. It was so cute and easy to do with a blow-dryer! Part of me wants to keep it this length, I really like it short but not super short. But I also want to keep growing it out, and that's less commitment so that's what I'm doing.
My "bangs" are usually weird and in the way. I'm thinking I might crop them into some long strait-across bangs.

Funny that you hated that first cut, I loved it (in pictures at least). I remember the first time Kelly used the razor on my super short hair and I wanted to cry, it freaked me out that it was short enough for that. I love your hair short!
