His & Her

Alright people, we're trying this again!
I hope you're weekend was awesome.  We had a really relaxing, peaceful couple of days watching conference and eating yummy treats.  Also, got in a little shopping last night with my old roomates for 'women's night.'  Shopping- mm.  It's been so long.  Well, let's get to business.
Who is someone you look up to and why?
His: My mom, because she was always firm and strong in her beliefs, no matter what they were.
Her: My dad. He's really hard working, and, in alot of ways, I didn't appreciate him until after I moved out.  Now that we're married, I definitely see alot of the qualities I admire in him in you.

What is your favorite Halloween tradition?
His: The spooks.  They come and visit in the week before Halloween every day, and when they come they would hide a gift for you somewhere around the house, like a little toy or a stash of candy.
Her: I just love breaking out decorations!  And yummy pumpkin cookies.

If you were a fruit, what would you be?
His: A watermelon, because they're delicious.  And if I'm a fruit I'm gonna be something delicious.
Her: A strawberry, because strawberries are cute and most people like them.

How are you like your dad or how are you like your mom?
Him: I'm like my mom in that I'm a very firm believer in what I think is right.
Her: I'm like my mom because we are basically personality twins.  And we like the same clothes.
Him: Seriously.

What is your favorite classic Disney movie?
His: Dumbo.  Because I was a pudgy kid, and having an elephant made sense to me.
(He was just a leeetle pudgy.  I don't know what elephants have to do with that.)
Her: 101 Dalmatians, because I watched it like a gajillion times when I was little.

What is your favorite roadtrip snack?
His: Pepperoni sticks.  They're expensive, so I rarely get them though.
Her: Sour patch watermelons and lays stacks.

What is one superficial benefit of being married? (i.e. someone to split chores with, someone to rub your back, etc.)
His: When we go out to eat I basically get two meals.
Her: I don't have to pretend to be brave and kill spiders like I had to do when I single.

What do you do for a living?
His: I work at the school and at a call center called Melaluca.
Her: ...Go to school.  Also, I work as a TA converting videos.  If they'll fix my darn internet viewer.

What is something your other half does that took a long time/is taking a long time to get used to?
His: Ummmm doesn't handle stress well.
Her: When you eat food that I think is gross.

What do you consider "your song?" (or what was your first dance?)
His: Patiently waiting.  Has been since date number 2.  It never comes on the radio.
Her: It's not a published song or anything so noone knows what we're talking about.  But it's what we did our first dance to at the Albuquerque reception.
