I'm sure you've seen those pictures on pinterest of the awesome, amazing, swirly nails that seem impossible to do....I'm not amazing with my nails, so I never even bothered. But today, I watched a tutorial from My Simple Pleasures that made it look so easy...I had to try it!
Basically, the video showed how to do a water marble, which is where you put the polish colors in a bowl of water and stick your nail in it. I didn't get too creative, but I'm super excited with how fun they came out!
Please ignore the bandaid.
Anyway, all I did this time was create a bulls-eye (one drop of nail polish inside another, over and over) except on my pointer finger (top) and my middle finger (bottom), where I used a toothpick to swirl around the polish a little bit.
I wish I had done a base coat so the colors were more vibrant, but I still love it!
After watching a few of her videos, it looked like the best polish brands for water marbling are China Glaze and Orly, which is why I ended up doing cat in the hat colors (my only china glaze polishes).
Like I said, I'm not amazing with my nails, but I see some serious potential for awesomeness here!
I really want to try her 'girl on fire' idea,
and I might be investing in some holiday colors soon.

I never paint my fingernails. Not even for my wedding. But yours are cute!
very awesome. i've heard of all the crazy cool things to do with nail polish, just not too sure if i have the patience.
