1st year trip

We made it home!  And the two hour drive only took seven hours.  But that's the end of the story. There's like 25 pictures, so feel free to skip what I wrote, but you should definitely check out how cute we are.
And humble, obviously.

This is the top of Jackson pass, with a gorgeous view into the valley.

It was also freezing.

Our hotel room was awesome!  Much nicer than we anticipated, even though we knew it was a condo.
It had two bathrooms. I have no idea why.
Since food in Jackson costs an arm and a leg, we bought groceries and cooked breakfast and lunch.
(Notice the granite counter tops?  Ya.)

First thing Saturday morning we went out to the elk reserve.
It was windy.
Look at that handsome man!
The wind made my hair look awesome.
We saw a mountain goat (It's there! I swear!)
Lots of elk
and some animal bones.
We visited a few hot-spots in town,
including the "Ripley's Believe it or Not Odditorium"
There we found a model train made entirely of match sticks
huge gross bugs
and a spinning room. That was weird.
Of course, we took some pictures by the famous antler arches.
Noone would take our picture, so we figured we'd take separate ones, then photoshop them together.
So if any of ya'll know how to take care of that, I'd appreciate it.

Ya, we saw some pretty cool stuff.

My personal favorite was the bouldering park.
To do this in Rexburg, you have to pay $10 a piece!  A free park? So awesome.
Notice that I was climbing in really cute boots.
I wish I'd brought my climbing shoes!
Also, people there have a sense of humor.
Technically, this guy is obeying the law....
he wasn't parking between the signs.
And of course, no trip is complete without some some pictures of Tyler driving!
Jackson was beautiful!  It was a really fun trip to celebrate our first year of marriage.

We had a Smith Adventure getting home-
our radiator cap busted on the way back out of the pass.
We drove back to town, but no auto part store was open on Sunday.
Figures.
Our would-be easy fix got really complicated.
We ended up buying some epoxy and plugged it up by hand.
Ug.
We'll have to do some damage control in the morning,
but for now,
we are happy to be home!

It's been a fabulous year, and I've loved all of it.
I look forward to many more together.
