little boy bootcamp

Last week, we had a chance to go babysit my 3 cousins
while their parents (and everyone else in the universe)
went on an awesome Alaskan cruse.
Now that we know we've got our own little boy on the way,
we've realized that last week was a good warm-up for us!

Tyler won over the boys' hearts and minds by playing video games with them.

Monday night, we headed over to my sister-in-law, Leinani's house for a bbq and playing in the sprinklers.

Uncle/cousin Tyler did alot of playing on the trampoline.
He really is going to be a great dad-
he loves playing with the kids.
Leinani was a super hero and watched Zap for us since our normal dog-sitters were on the fritz
(meaning everyone leaves Rexburg in the summer except for us).
He was just happy to get some cuddles and watch the kids play.
Tuesday we headed to the pool,
and Thursday we stopped by the county fair.

We had some yummy lunch food,
but I think our favorite thing was the old-fashioned root-beer stand.
We came home with two souvenir tin cups.
Because we don't have enough cups already.
Friday we went out for pizza and ate at this awesome playground up by the Temple.
(Thanks for the tip, Leinani!)
It was seriously the coolest playground ever.
Can you find Parker in this picture?

The bottom of this boat was designed to sway back-and-forth,
just like a real boat sways on the ocean.
How cool is that?
It was an awesome week in Logan,
and it was so fun to watch those super cute boys!
We learned alot about each-others parenting styles.
The most important lesson of the week, however, was
never skip naptime.
Ever.

So fun! We did that for Delos a few times before we had kids and it was hard! It was a lot easier after we had our own kids, for some reason. That Parker is SO CUTE!!

watching kids for a few days definitely puts a new spin on things.
it's such a great feeling knowing the man that you married is going to make a great dad!
