You know on pinterest,
how you sometimes see those "35 great questions to ask your spouse" things?
I read them sometimes.
And sometimes I try asking Tyler those 'deep, soul-touching questions.'
Not one single time has it lead to an answer different than
"Yes."
"No."
or
"I don't know."
But when I ask him about motorcycles,
it's a whole different ball game.
When my maternity shirts are all dirty
and I don't want to do laundry
(which is often)
I start wearing Tyler's shirts.
It's awesome.
We bought our stroller & car seat.
They went on special at Toys R' Us
so I bought it.
I can't decide if we should leave it in the box
(more practical for moving/storage)
or set it up.
(way funner, plus I can put both hoods up and walk around the park pretending I already have a baby, plus we can stare at it an move it and practice working all of it's magical levers and buttons)
What do you think?
I am avidly searching the baby GAP website
for our little boy's coming home outfit.
Obviously, his first outfit ever has to come from the GAP.
Do you know me (or my mother) at all?
I'm thinking I'll pick a warm one-piece and hat,
since he'll becoming home in the dead of Rexburg winter.
What do you think?
I ordered some aiden and anais swaddling blankets
from a girl who buys them whole-sale through her business.
I ordered them before we knew little boy was a boy, so I asked for
1 girl, 1 boy, and 2 gender neutral.
I don't know what to do with the girl one.
Stupid pottery barn keeps getting rid of the crib sheets I want.
I found them way before we were thinking about getting pregnant,
and as soon as I found out I was pregnant,
I went to order them, and they were gone.
I picked another set that I liked,
went on yesterday to make sure it was still there,
and it's gone too.
Grrr.
And why, oh why, is a teeny tiny crib quilt $150???
Everyone, especially Tyler,
says to wait until after your shower to buy baby things,
but I don't really think I'll have a baby shower.
I live too far away from the people who like me enough to throw me one,
and I don't have enough good friends here to make a shower worth the trouble.
I have friends, but at any given semester, at least 1/3 of them are not here,
and the ones that are here are just as poor as we are so I feel bad expecting them to buy me stuff.
The freakiest part of this whole pregnancy
is my belly button slowly turning inside-out.
Seriously, having it get shallower and shallower
and pokier and pokier
is by far the 'symptom' that has wierded me out the most.
I guess I just assumed that sometime in the third trimester
it would just pop out all at once.
Nope.
And one more in the TMI department -
I think it's funny when middle-aged/older people complain about getting a colonoscopy.
I'm 20 years old
and I have to have one
every 2-3 years
for the rest of my life.
Suck it up.

have you checked your mail lately?
I used to wear Dave's shirts until he got mad at me for stretching them out. That punk!
I would NOT try the walking with an empty stroller thing. People will for sure ask to see the baby. For sure. And then you'll be like "Oh, well...there's not actually a baby in there yet..." Set it up though! It's fun to see stuff all set up.
I brought my babies home in cute, comfy jammies. With legs (not nightgowns I mean), so they can sit in their carseat. But nightgowns are so much more practical. Yes, even for boys.
No shower?! Can't you have an online shower? Are you not going to Utah at all before the baby comes? I bet Sara and Misty would have one for you, even if it was just family.
The freakiest part of pregnancy for me was feeling the baby kick. So "there's an alien inside me" feeling.
Give the girl one to a friend who's pregnant, or save it! I saved girl clothes that I bought before Isaac was born for Zoe.
Apparently I'm having a shower in albuquerque now -- I'm sure you'll hear about it from my mom. Ya, I was looking at a very warm pajama-type onsie for his outfit.
Feeling the baby kick is really weird but I love it, except he always holds still when I put my hand on my tummy to feel him. The little stinker.
Awe, you are so fun! I love reading your blog. Just a little unsolicited advice from me, don't bother buying the crib quilt unless you plan on hanging it on the wall. Baby won't use it, he'll have other more snuggly blankets that he'll prefer and if you lay him on it (like I did) he'll just spit up on it and then you will have a useless $150 stained quilt.
