When I was around 5 months pregnant, I ran into this idea on pinterest.
I knew right away it was something I wanted to do for my children.
How cool is it to have your own special book about the day you were born?!
After looking around, I ultimately decided to do it through Shutterfly. I could custom-edit the pages to put in the words for the story. Now that I've dabbled in photo-editing, I would probably just create the page on my own (using gimp or photoshop).
Nevertheless, I am super happy with how the book turned out!
I created all of the pages, inserted his ultrasound images and some wedding/engagement photos, and waited for him to arrive so I could finish it off!
In the chaos of his first month, the book definitely didn't get finished.
When I finally did get around to it, I altered a few pages to include his NICU stay, and some images from is PICU stay as well.
I literally jumped for joy when I opened the package.
I hope TJ can read this book and know how very special he is, and how much we love him.
