pumpkin patch

Like pretty much everywhere else in the U.S, Utah is giving a super disappointing fall.  Super high temperatures and dry days?  Lame.

Every fall, law students at BYU get a week off for "placement break."  In theory, it's a chance for students to travel for interviews.  We don't actually know anyone who does that during placement break, but there is plenty of other stuff for Tyler to do so we couldn't take off for the balloon fiesta like we did last year.  Instead, I planned a truck load of family activities and Tyler came home early a couple of days.  The very first thing on my list was a pumpkin patch visit because, duh, fall!

There are tons of awesome fall activity centers (pumpkin patch, corn mazes, ect) all around our area, but we decided to just go somewhere close and cheap since our kids are little.  It was $1 each for Tyler and I to get in and the kiddos were free.  There was plenty to do and the pumpkins were super well priced, so we called it a win!

They had a corn pit.  The texture was really fun and TJ spent alot of time asking us to bury him.

I wore my boots even though it was wicked hot.  Take that, hot fall weather!
There were also these fun tube slides.  They were super bumpy but TJ couldn't get enough.
He looked terrified the whole slide down, then would grin and grin when he popped out the bottom. Funny kid.

There was a "petting zoo" of like, four pens with a few different animals in them.   None of the animals wanted to be petted.

There was a hayride.  It reminded me how ugly pumpkin patches are.  At least there was a lovely view of the mountains!
 Back to the sand pit.
There was a little hay-bail maze for kids, so Tyler and TJ did that while Eli and I took a break in the shade.  Then we picked out our pumpkins and headed home!
