35 weeks

Today I had my 35 week checkup, and my last visit with my OB here in Plano.  We are closing on our house tomorrow, so the plan is for me to go see my new doctor from here on out.  Hopefully that works out as expected!

We have a hospital picked here and a hospital picked in our new city, so wherever I am when I go into labor, I know where I'll have the baby (hopefully).

Beyond the normal routine checkups, they checked my cervix and I'm about 3 centimeters already.  This is par for the course for my body, so I'm not worried, but it does mean I need to pack my hospital bag!  I think with my other boys I packed it like two months early, but this time it's just been on the bottom of my to-do list for a while now.

This pregnancy, I started having braxton-hicks contractions around 28 weeks.  I had a handful with the other boys, but nothing like this.  I get a contraction every time I walk up the stairs or bend over or lift something too heavy, plus plenty scattered randomly in between.  Obviously it's not a big deal, just a little weird and uncomfortable at times.

I was really lucky and had no complications this pregnancy.  I came up with my own plan of action for managing my colitis and it ended up being really effective (or I was just lucky).  Either way, while I've had worse pregnancy symptoms, overall it's been a much more low-key pregnancy than my others.

This time around, I got tons and tons of stretch marks.  Nothing compared to the six or eight I had from Eli.  I'm a full tiger now!  My sweet mother-in-law ordered me some stretch mark lotion and I feel like it has really made a difference.  If nothing else, it makes the skin less itchy and that is a huge blessing.

We are really excited for this sweet boy to come but I'm just praying he stays in to full term.  We have so much going on in June, I really hope he doesn't come early!
