first swim

We spent memorial weekend down in the wonderful state of Utah.
On Friday, my wonderful grandparents watched TJ for us so that we could go look at some apartments in Provo.  They told me he didn't cry the whole time, which is either a bold lie or proof that he likes them better than us.  Personally, I think it's the later.

Apartment shopping is the worst.  There are just so many dumpy places in Provo. It's just not like that in Rexburg- most of the married housing was built in the last twenty years or so.

We had a break between appointments, so we poked around the law school on the BYU campus a bit.  It's under construction inside, so we can't wait to see how it looks in two months!
Also, Tyler and I recently discovered a deep affection for frozen custard, so when we drove by a custard place advertising $1 scoops, we jumped on it!
In the mean time, TJ partied with great-Grandma and great-Grandpa.
He loves great-Grandma.  Every time she walked in a room he stared at her, talked to her, and boy did he smile at her.
Grandma and grandpa had a walker that was the perfect size, and TJ could not get enough of it! He's starting to figure out how to move around already.
On Monday, memorial day, we had to leave, but not before a morning swim!
Grandma Alice sent some super cute swimsuits for TJ, and I just couldn't wait to use them!
Whales, people, whales!  We had another one with seahorses, but it was 0-6 months and too small.  Can you believe this kid?
We met my aunt Sara and her cute kiddos at Draper pool.

TJ really seemed to enjoy the water, and he loved watching the other kids splash around!
While he was drying off, he was fascinated by the kids jumping off of the diving boards.

It was a fun little break, and now we're hitting the books hard for midterms next week.
Also, TJ is getting up every 3 hours again.
This rolling thing is gonna kill me.

Mmmmm, frozen custard. Yumm-o! I looove that swimming suit! Holy cuteness! While apartment hunting is the worst, it's super nice you got to do it without the baby. So nice of them to watch TJ for you. MAN is he cute!

It was a huge relief not to haul him with us...he would have been miserable!
