me and my planning self + randomness

My semester is wrapping up.
I'm looking over my grad plan and so far, I'm on schedule to graduate exactly a year from now.  SOOOO CLOOOOSE!
--

I got a fancy new planner.
I'm kind of a planner nerd.
I've been an avid agenda/planner/journal keeper since middle school.
My sister-in-law introduced me to this one.
I wanted it so much that I asked Tyler to let me dip into my Christmas fund for it
(because $40 for a planner is a little spendy for us right now).
I'm so excited to start using it next month!

One of my professors this semester went completely MIA after the first four weeks of class.
I mean literally, nobody in the class has heard from him.
Nothing is graded.
I've done great work for that class but a little part of me is still afraid I'm going to fail because he's over a month behind in grading.

Are you playing pokemon GO?  You should be.
I added a couple of extra laps to my morning run to get extra poke-stops.

Now that we are getting to be regulars and the laundromat,
my kids are becoming suuuper popular.
Everybody loves my little white boys.
A big part of it is that they speak Spanish.
The older Hispanic ladies so excited when I speak to them in Spanish.
The only problem is, I know enough Spanish to speak a little,
but I don't know enough Spanish to understand there very excited, rapid responses.

I'm so over wearing  glasses all the time.

For one of my classes, we had to do a big group project over the course of the semester.
I ended up doing pretty much all of the front end development, including developing custom graphics and logos.
Web design is nothing new, it's standard for school, and I like to do graphics as a hobby
(even though I'm not very good at it).
I did most of it in the last two weeks. #procrastination
Anyway, this one, I'm pretty darn proud of, even though it's not working up to my usual standard. You can see it here if you want, hosted on one of my teammates domains.
(Note to future readers: link will probably not work after 2017)
If you're curious, you can also check out the personal website I currently host  and a little web app I put together last semester.
What do you think?

My pinterest is full of posts titled "60 classy hairstyles for women over 50" and the like.
I get the short hair but how old does pinterest think I am?

I'm finally weaning Eli.
We've been doing one feeding a day for months now.
Just in the morning,
when he first wakes up,
I like to bring him to bed and snuggle with him while he nurses.
But I have a mom-only trip coming up so the time has come.
I'm sad, but it's time.

TJ is so big all of the sudden.
His baby fat is gone, he's so skinny.
He has these long legs.
He says "Please" and "Thank you."
And he loves doing laundry.

The memorial service held for the officers killed in Dallas last week was held in a cemetery a few blocks from where we live.
Traffic was a mess, what with all the presidents and whatnot who needed to be escorted around.
A few days later, I was driving next to the cemetery on my way home.
Tons of people were gathered, waving flags and posters and saluting.
I was driving along with the funeral procession for one of the officers.
I keep thinking of all those families who finally had that day come,
the day where the got the call they've probably dreaded for years.
Being here during all of this has just shaken me.
No matter what social media says, I choose to believe in the honor and pride of the officers that serve us.
