Here's why I'm re-telling the story.
That was the first day I really spent time with Tyler. We'd met before, but just briefly. We all went out for dinner at a local place called Sammy's -its the college spot, burgers, shakes, and live music on Fridays. Tyler was there. He gave me a super awesome birthday back massage and finished my shake because it was seriously too much for me. I was so thrilled he came though, because I thought he was SO cute. [The very first time I met him, I literally thought, "Dang. That's the kind of man you want to marry."] So I kindof had my eye on him.
You will notice he's not in the above picture- he left the party after we went back to my apartment...he had plans with some other girls (which I don't let him live down now).

A week or two later, he asked my roommate out. I was a little bummed, but I had plenty of dates at the time so I wasn't to torn up over it. But when he came over to pick Jena up, he kept hinting that I should go to the Latin dance that night because his roommate, Spencer, would be there. Having nothing better to do that particular evening, I went. Spencer was really nice, but I kept thinking Jena was super lucky.

This was the first of a few double dates (like this). I went with Spencer, and Tyler went with a series of different girls. He didn't ask me out until 2 days before the semester ended! How annoying right?
Anyway, we started dating when we both got back in the fall and ...the rest is history!

gotta love a quick courtship! when you know you know! i'm thinking a lot right now about when i first met Chris. ...our first date was 5/21...so we are nearing the one year mark!

How fun, man. And it's okay, Dave liked all three of my roommates before he settled on me. Heh.
