So. This week kicked my butt. I spent 6 hours on yesterdays calculus homework, and its not done. But I still got another calculus assignment today, on top of a big computer science project and about a million other time-wasters for my other classes.
Every class this semester is hard. There isn't one that will give me a break, not even religion! I'm exhausted and stressed. This feels like senior year (of high school) all over again. A big part of it is the added responsibilities of keeping up the apartment, double laundry, dinners, dishes, ect. Plus we live far enough from campus to need to drive, so it's a pain to be far from resources like the library, so I spend all day on campus. I went at 10 this morning and didn't come home until 6:30! Grr. Then I come home and spend hours doing homework. Even on Friday!
In previous semesters, I at least had a little free time in the evenings to spend with friends or relaxing, but I'm running from when I sit up in bed to when my head hits the pillow. This must be what college is really like. Mostly I'm just struggling with how hard everything is.
Thanks. I needed a little venting session.
Here's the teaser I got from the Albuquerque photographer. Kindof fun right?
Happy Weekend! I hope yours is nice and relaxing.

It IS hard. I feel you sister. Here's my advice: think of school as your full-time job. If you're on campus from 10-6:30 that's less than you would be if you worked 40 hours a week, so with homework on top of that you're probably hitting it just right. Schedule time for yourself to relax, even if you feel like you don't have time, and save Sundays for just you, church, and Tyler - NO homework. Having one day off to rest really will make a huge difference in your attitude and your grades. Sunday will become your favorite day of the week. At least it did for me. Also, Tyler can do laundry and dishes too. :) Good luck Summer! Keep up the hard work!
Thanks em! Good ideas. I think I'll try the sunday thing.
