bagpiper at heart

Me- (As we drive by) "Hm.  There was a dude walking around the yard playing bagpipes."

Tyler- "Awesome!  You know, I've always wanted to learn to bagpipe."

Me- "Yes, you told me.  But I hate bagpipes."

Tyler- "But then I could wear a kilt, Irish-style!"

Me- "If you're a bagpiper, you're not the man I thought you were!"

Tyler- "But I'm not a bagpiper!"

Me- "You are at heart!"

Tyler- "Yeaaaa."

We have the most ridiculous conversations.
We went for a plush camping trip last night with a few friends-
specifically,
Katelyn and Jared,
who are now hitched and living in our apartment complex!
 Woo!

Back to plush camping:
  • Sleeping on level grass instead of woods
  • Nice metal picnic tabel
  • Bathrooms within 100 yards
  • Metal fire pit

We tried out some new 'toys,' we finally got a set of campfire chairs and some classy marshmallow roasters.

It wasn't terribly exciting, but it was fun spending the night under the stars out by Riry Reservoir and waking up to a gorgeous view.

Also,
I made bread again today and it turned out
super delish.
Not quite as good as grandma's,
and it looks gimpy,
but it's better than before,
and I got the full 4 loaves the recipe promises.

Happy Labor Day!

Ha! I hadn't noticed the memorial day reference. You're so lucky to have married friends already! It took us so long to find some. Awesome bread!
