I've noticed that about 10 out of every 10 posts I do is related to pregnancy. That probably isn't going to change soon. I am just dying for the kiddo to make his appearance, even though his due date is still two months away.
However, I'm going to spare you (for once) and talk about something else- Tyler! Yaaay!
Tyler's work started a health competition a few months ago. To compete, everyone had to pay a $20 entrance fee and the company matched the amount entered (or something like that) to make the prize pot. Tyler decided he wanted to do it. Each contestant earned points each day by drinking a certain amount of water, getting two servings of veggies, not eating sugar, ect. It was totally based on the honor system, and the top 3 competitors and the person who had the greatest percentage of weight loss would win cash prizes.
After the competition started, Tyler started getting up 5-6 AM to go to the gym (he earned points for working out). He also dieted really carefully (you get extra points for weight loss) and managed to lose at least one pound or more each week. He's been in the top 5 pretty much the whole time, and the second-to-last week he was in first place! He totally stuck with it, and lost 6 pounds in the last week! He won the competition and won the greatest percentage of weight loss, but they didn't want to give two prizes to one person. Instead, they gave the weight loss prize money to the fourth place competitor. Lame.
Tyler works nights, so alot of the other staff don't know him. After seeing him in the lead for a few weeks, people apparently started going "Oh, so YOU'RE Tyler!" So funny.
I am so excited for my cute hubby, and so proud of him for working so hard! I was worried that people wouldn't be honest about their numbers, so I'm really glad that everyone played clean and Tyler was able to win fair and square. I think he should've gotten both of the prizes because he worked SO hard for it, but he's super satisfied with his prize money and his freedom from dieting. Overall he lost around 20 pounds in 8 weeks. That's the thing about Tyler- when he decides to do something, he makes it happen. I'm the kind of person who is afraid to compete because I'm afraid of losing. Even with Tyler competing, I was afraid he would lose and be disappointed. Thankfully, Tyler is a way better sport than me. Also, you wouldn't know it from his easy-going personality, but Tyler thrives on a little competition.
The point is, Tyler is awesome. I love him like crazy.
