Every one of our apartment windows has one (or two!!!) of these horrible things living in it, between the screen and the glass. The biggest ones of all are about the size of a dime, and live in the boys' windows.
While it is a little cool seeing them up-close, it is also super horrifying and I want them all dead. According to the internets they are some variety of jumping spider, which means opening the window is NOT an option because I'm afraid they will jump into the house and attack me. My fear of spiders is a touch irrational.
Tyler started a new job this week, working as a legal clerk. While I'm very happy that he found something that pays well and looks good on a resume, I am less happy that it is a half-hour commute away. During rush hour, that half-hour becomes a good hour real quick. That means that, even though he works 8-5, he's gone 7-6 just like he was for his externship. For super pregnant wifey, those extra two hours are too much! Also, it means that he isn't close by if something (like labor) happens suddenly. I know lots of people live with commuting husbands, but that doesn't mean I have to like it.
We all caught some sort of horrible sore throat cold. TJ has been so miserable. Last night I went in to hold him around 9 and he fell asleep in my arms. I can't remember the last time that happened, but it was probably when he was less than 2 months old. It was just light enough that I could see his face, and I held him for a good half hour before I could bring myself to lay him down. I so love being a mom.

i would die seeing all of those spiders! i would call the landlord and make them spray or something. seriously.
i HATED having a commuting husband. i'm lucky since i get to take the bus to/from work, my commute is spent "working" on my phone...that's when I do a lot of my Younique business. Chris is currently unemployed, so he's looking for a job (again) and one of the qualifications is finding a job closer to home.
we've had that horrible sore throat cold in our house too! i started with Helena a couple of weeks ago with a horrible runny nose, then turned into a horrible cough. And I got the sore throat over the weekend! Both Helena and I sound like we've been smoking for years! Ha! Last night was the first night she slept through the night without getting up and coughing! so i'm hoping it is on it's way out!
I've had lots more moments of Helena falling asleep in my arms, but the moments are definitely less and less as she is getting older. and i treasure them! over Memorial weekend she was sick and up every few hours. One night I just slept with her in her rocker from about 2am - 4:30am.
I hope you guys feel better soon!
Can TJ sense the anticipation of a baby brother coming home...super soon?!
I don't know... he has been super clingy this week, but I think it's from having a cold. He has been more huggy in general, and I like to think he's been a little more attached to me in particular. Either way, I'm sure enjoying the snuggles.
Commutes are the worst. Well, spiders are the worst, but commutes are a close second. You can buy bug spray and spray around the windows and maybe that would get 'em?
