We spent Monday and Tuesday packing packing packing and stressing out. I tried to keep the house spotless for our walk through Tuesday night but inevitable there were fingerprints on the mirror and footprints in the entryway. We left early, early, early Wednesday morning for Albuquerque. Nobody was in the office at 4 am so they told us to leave the keys under the doormat, which stressed me to no end. It occurs to me I should call and see if they got those or if they will be taking it out of our deposit. The last few weeks have been so crazy. We stayed in Albuquerque, had a wedding, Tyler started school, and now we are all sick with colds. Which figures. But it's been busy and fun!
I spent the drive playing with my new phone. I upgraded to a Galaxy S6 and my favorite thing about it is the high-quality camera. I'm in love. I can't believe what an improvement it is from the S3 I had before.
Driving in to Albuquerque cracked me up. This is the only place I've seen such a decorative welcome. Usually I'm really underwhelmed by New Mexico's state signage.

Tyler drove the whole way and listened to his audio book. The kids were pretty good. Eli napped on and off but TJ only slept the last hour (of a ten-hour drive).
I was so glad we got to stop in Albuquerque. Momma made us yummy food, my kids played their heart out, and we enjoyed some of the creature comforts we didn't have in Dallas (like a bed and a washer that actually cleaned clothes) along with all the joys of spending time with family. My brother, Hunter, is gone, but Haley and Logan were home, along with Logan's then fiance, now wife, Lindzey.
^Mom and I picking up Dions one night. We had to wait for our food so she drove me to all the pokestops near by. It was awesome and hilarious that my mom knew where all the stops were.
Tyler and Dad also had to repack the trailer because we returned some stuff to them and lost some stuff on the drive. Seriously. That happened on the drive down and back. So if you see a mop, a broom, a silicone baking mat, or a pillow between Dallas and Provo, it probably belonged to us. I thought Tyler just stunk at packing trailers but after a test run, my dad realized we have really bad drag coming off of the van that was really hard on our trailer. Sorry, Tyler! After Tyler and Dad made some upgrades to the trailer (including a new gate!), we didn't have any trouble on our trip to Provo.
When we made it back, I was beyond ecstatic to see my OWN WASHER AND DRYER AGAIN! We got to sleep in our own beds. The kids were so happy to play with all the toys they recognized but didn't have in Dallas. Guys, its GOOD to be home!

What a fun adventure though! You'll always remember that crazy summer on a futon in Dallas.
