TJ went to nursery today! Eli and I went to sacrament meeting (the first hour meeting) so that I could drop TJ off for nursery (the second and third hour class for 18 months to 3 years). TJ has been excited about nursery for months. He has never been in the nursery, but he could hear all the other kids when we would walk by and begged to go in week after week. He was thrilled to go in, but in this picture he is not so thrilled because we pulled him back out to change his diaper and snap a commemorative photo.
The nursery leader told Tyler he handled it "like an old vet," but was a little nervous about singing time, which sounds about right. TJ hates singing. It is very weird. If Tyler or I sing to him he cries until we stop.
I'm so proud, but on the way home (Eli and I left after dropping TJ off) I teared up a little bit. He's just so big. What happened to this little baby?
This is a picture of TJ in the PICU, around four weeks. While he and Eli look different, it is amazing to me how much resemblance they share.
Speaking of Eli, TJ loves holding him. He climbs on the couch and holds out his arms. It makes him SO happy. Eli usually isn't quite as happy about it, but it's so sweet I figure he can tough it out for a few minutes.

Oh man, it's such a big day! So exciting! Also, I can't believe you sent one off and still have a baby to take care of. You never even got one week of regular church attendance! Hahahahaha!thats the best part of sending a kid to nursery. :)
No kidding! It's going to be three YEARS of taking babies to meetings with me.
Aw. They grow so fast! Trust me, you have many years of learning almost nothing at church... haha! Aunt Carma once told me (when I was complaining about it) that she learned nothing in church for 20 years but she taught her kids that they belonged in church! It helped me through the tough times to think of it that way. :-) Branden used to cry when I sang. Kids are funny.
wow! love this. and totally weird about not liking the singing. when Helena randomly crys we'll sing to her (her favorite is the wheels on the bus) and she immediately calms down and starts to laugh!
